The Spark (ep. #9)

Hello and welcome to the 9th episode of “The Spark“ newsletter!

Here you can find everything you need to stay up-to-date with upcoming NFT projects and web3 games

This episode is a special one, as it’s fully dedicated to my latest (December) tier list of early projects & upcoming games

I’ll share more details on EACH of mentioned projects, to give you an understanding why i put them into a specific tier

1. Qiibee Foundation

• Free mint, 888 supply, VC funded (8 figures)

• Building a blockchain-based loyalty infrastructure

• Already partnered with Coca Cola, Binance, Coinbase, Etihad, Renault just to name a few

• Will be launching own token at a later date

2. Wadeside

• NFT project by Line Friends (multibillion web2 IP brand) and Cripco (official web3 partner of Line Friends)

• It will be their second collection (genesis pass is currently sitting at 1.1 ETH FP)

• Project will be focusing on innovative ways to “give back to community“

• Pre-mint and mint itself will be different, as well as collaborations approach; more details on this soon

[Big potential] section:

1. Xociety Official (gen 2)

• Project already has a playable high quality MMOTPS game with solid social media traction

• Developed by team of 46, backed by UNOPND, Asia’s leading WEB3 incubator

• Second collection will expand current gen 1 collection of Avatars with new ones

2. KartParty (gen 2)

• Building a web3-powered ‘Cars Grand Prix‘ game

• VC backed, genesis collection is sitting at 1.8 ETH FP

• Second (PFP) collection will provide priority game access, in-game bonuses, allowlist to all future airdrops and more

3. GamerBase

• Self-described as “social MMO Playground that revolutionises how communities interact with their players and fans“

• Backed by XBorg (GameFi protocol, has $3.5M in VC funding)

• Ecosystem will be powered by native utility token, which is set to launch later this year or Q1 next year

4. Zokio

• Project is building an “entertainment conglomerate, focusing on quality storytelling, IP utilization, augmentation and more“

• Linked to “VoyceMe“, one of the largest comic/manga production studios in North America

• Strong web2 (founders) and web3 (advisors) team with extensive experience in the following industry

5. Duel Arena

• Fully on-chain 1v1 duels game with crypto stakes

• Part of Cambria ecosystem (backed by a16z and Sequoia), which is absolutely massive

• Decent probability of “early adopter“ airdrop through earning ‘essence points‘ while playing the game

[Probably something] section:

1. Riftstorm

• Project is building a "co-op top-down action looter shooter"

• Founded by Mythic Protocol - entertainment IP franchise, which raised $6.5M in funding

• Trying to be web2-first and not adding any blockchain layers for now; already listed in Steam

2. Dark Machine

• Mech-themed 7v7 PVP shooter game built on Unreal Engine 5

• Developed by META-X studio (team members previously worked with Square Enix, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Sega and others)

• Building on Immutable L2

3. Blade of God X

• Developing a "next-gen dark Nordic style ARPG powered by AI-Agents"

• Project already secured partnerships with Xterio and Immutable; game will be launched on Immutable zkEVM

• Produced by team of 70, currently has 230k+ pre-registrations from interested players

4. BrawlOfFame

• Project is building the "first massively interoperable web3 battle colosseum"

• Founded by KAP Games (VC funded, successfully launched "Captain & Company" recently)

• Win-to-earn mechanics, players are eligible to get rewards from partners/sponsors of “Brawl of Flame“ platform

5. Downstream

• Fully on-chain ‘civilisation simulator' game

• Studio behind this game successfully secured a $4M investment round in 2021

• Waiting list for playtest is available, more information in their Discord

6. Cyberscape

• Team behind the project is working on an extraction based battle royale game (coming in

• Supported by quite a few big web3 companies

• VC backed and rumored to be a free mint

[Keep an eye] section:

1. Ergosum

• Dungeon crawler game developed by "Crooz blockchain lab", backed by Gumi Crypto (VC)

• Game will be free to play with P2E elements (trading, treasure hunting, etc); ecosystem token was already announced

2. Calamity

• Indie MMORPG featuring the classic PvE and PvP loot & trading focused gameplay

• Super early and not much info yet, but should start it’s marketing pretty soon

3. Eternal Paradox

• Turn-based ARPG game, produced by GalaGames and NDream

• In development since early 2022; first season will be launched on December 5th (completely free to play)

4. Arkbound

• Developing a free-to-play fantasy ARPG game

• Backed by Animoca Brands, launched on Immutable L2 ecosystem

5. Collective Anvil

• Building an action adventure and co-op strategy game “Holdara”

• Raised $2.9M from BITKRAFT and Delphi Ventures

6. Drawing Board

• Founded by TMA (notable web3 builder) and Gotrilla

• Art-focused project, free mint
