November tier list: sharing all the alpha

Hello and welcome to the 5th episode of “The Spark“ newsletter!

Here you can find everything you need to stay up-to-date with upcoming NFT projects and web3 games

This episode is special one - it will be fully dedicated to my latest (November) tier list of early projects & upcoming games

I’ll share more details on EACH of mentioned projects, to give you an understanding why i put them into a specific tier

[Must have] section:

1. Vendetta Games

  • Free mint, 888 supply, VC backing

  • Building open world RPG and metaverse (think RDR by Rockstar, but in web3)

  • Powered by VulcanForged - one of the biggest crypto native game studios

  • Second project in Mittaria ecosystem

  • Backed by Chinese web2 unicorn company

  • Focusing on IP (own movie is already in production for 2 years; collabs with well known music bands are in pipeline)

  • Being built in partnership with "Monk" (studio behind such titles as Kung-Fu Panda, Rango, and more)

Try to secure them first

[Big potential] section:

1. San FranTokyo (gen 2)

  • Recently started marketing for their “Visions“ collection

  • Genesis collection is sitting at 0.22E floor price

  • Project is backed by Animoca Brands and Dapper Labs (NBA Top Shot)

  • Building a mobile tower defence game (going live in Q4 2023)

  • VC backed ($5.4M in total)

  • Team members previously worked in Riot and Tencent

  • WL distribution didn’t start yet

  • Developing web3 ARPG loot game (something like Diablo)

  • Free-to-Play + Play-to-Earn mechanics

  • VC funded (not fully disclosed yet)

  • Genesis collection is sitting at 0.62E floor price

4. Space Rush 

  • Project is building Free-to-Play dungeon crawler game

  • Founders were involved in other successful web3 projects, like “The Grapes“ and “Creepz by Overlord“

  • A lot of notable builders follow the official X account

  • Rumoured to be a free mint (not confirmed)

5. Quaere

  • Building an AI companion to use in “metaverse“

  • VC funded by Foresight Ventures

  • Free mint, 777 supply

Solid bets if you already got “Must have“ ones

[Probably something] section:

  • Amazing level of quality on visual side

  • Lots of notable web3 builders follow this project

  • Rumoured to be a free mint (not confirmed)

  • Award winning studio

  • Will re-issue legendary Runestone Keeper game in web3 (roguelike dungeon crawler)

  • Super early, 0 posts on X yet, 0 WLs distributed

  • Project is building a competitive multiplayer racing game (with multiple game mods)

  • Team members previously worked with Bloomberg, Pokemon Go and Riot

  • VC backed ($4M in funding)

  • Developing an open world survival crafting game

  • Secured $15M in funding, led by A16Z

  • WL process didn’t start yet, still early

5. Creion

  • Building a “web3 brand collective“, more info TBA

  • Team members previously worked with Red Bull, Nike, Guess and others

  • 0 posts yet, but lots of notable people already follow the project’s account

6. Oosagi

  • Low supply, hand-drawn art project

  • Led by official Louis Vuitton Artisan (handcraft professional)

  • Fits the current art meta

Relatively early projects, might play out and might not

[Keep an eye] section:

1. Aten7

  • Building a next gen co-op RPG adventure system

  • Supported by Avax blockchain/team

  • Turn-based strategy card game

  • Developed in collaboration between 2 legit Japanese companies (DMMcom and LudicCube)

  • Onboarded quite a few notable builders/founders to the team

  • Pioneering the approach of “building with the public“ instead of “building in public“

  • Game development studio with extensive web2 experience (individually)

  • Secured $3.2M in funding

  • Web3 project by 'AKIBA Tourism Council' a.k.a Akihabara district in Tokyo

  • Advised by Animoca Brands

  • Science fiction project by Japanese cartoonists

  • Backed by “Japan NFT Museum“ - largest dao group in Japan

Projects that are on super early stage, keep an eye on development
