My take:

Interesting project & product for multiple reasons. Their dapp acts like a marketplace, where people can buy, sell and trade fractions (a.k.a shares) of different teams and guilds.

Shards tech is available as an SDK, meaning that it could be integrated on top of any existing (competitive) game on any chain. So far, they’ve partnered with 8 web3 games and reached 50k+ users of the platform.

To boost the growth, they also aim to run airdrop incentive for early adopters, but details on this are still TBA.

Overall, cool product + free mint sounds like a good deal, I would keep an eye on this one and try to get a spot.
