[Early alpha] section:

1. Project Citadel (4330 followers)

• Next-gen competitive FPS game, building on ultra_io protocol

• Team members previously worked with Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, Epic Games and others

• Expected to launch in Q1-Q2 2024 (Date - TBA)

My take:

Solid looking game, that is building on a cheap and scalable blockchain.

More info is yet to be released, but lots of builders and web3 gaming creators are already following the project’s page.

Project has been in development for a while now, so i think it’s worthwhile to keep an eye on this one. The only drawback i see here is that ‘ultra‘ platform is not as hyped/popular as of right now, so it can definitely limit them in terms of growth (in my opinion).

2. MetaCene (gen 2 collection)

• Building since 2022, already has a playable game and genesis collection with 0.48 ETH FP

• Project received over $10M in funding, and is backed by such notable names as Binance and ByteDance (company behind TikTok)

• Gen 2 collection is coming soon; low supply, price TBA, mint date TBA

My take:

This game is still in alpha version, however they already have a player base of 5k+ gamers, with a solid user retention.

Second alpha test has recently concluded, and team is preparing to start marketing campaign, which will involve gen 2 collection.

Considering the huge backing and recent results, makes sense to follow the project and try to get a spot once they’ll announce second collection drop. Collabs are closed for now as well, keep an eye on official account for updates.

[Updates] section:

• Farcana changed mint allocations (TLDR - no team treasury, all spots to the community).

• WayToGods (by Mittaria) started their marketing, collection is coming in Q1 2024. Discord is open.

• The World’s Largest limited time gaming event is now live (4 more days left).

• Wadeside announced own token and a platform which will utilize it.

• Citizen Conflict (powered by QORPO) will be hosting a tournament with $7000 prize pool.

• Zokio announced a limited pre-sale opportunity.

• OverTrip has started their marketing campaign and now is open for collabs.

[News] section:

• DeBlock (VC backed, FP is 0.4E) announced second collection release (free mint)

• Animoca Brands formed a strategic partnership with T&B Media Global (company behind Mittaria)

• Shrapnel announced early access date and the prize pool for competitive participants

• OhBabyGames formed a partnership with Nickelodeon's SpongeBob IP

• Balthazar DAO (organisation behind WalletWars) announced $BZR drop in January 2024

• AOFverse has reached 500k monthly active players

• XBorg announced partnership with Steam, as a part of their gaming credential infrastructure

• Pudgy Penguins teased own metaverse, that will be releasing in Q1 2024 (built on zkSync)
